Our Anodising Process

All of our bolts are anodised in house, here in Salford. It's a hands on, complex and precise process.

Utilising our 11-step electrochemical process we stabilise the oxide layer of our fasteners to produce our coloured finish across our whole stock range.

We carry out an anodising run once a week, every week, to ensure a constant availability of stock, as well as a consistent colour match. We want the bolts you buy from us in a years time, to match the colour of the bolts you buy from us today.

Due to the nature of mountain biking, it is a rough, wet and muddy existence for our fasteners. And that's fine, our bolts will never rust and take one heck of a beating before showing any wear.

One thing we will mention though, is that our anodising process accounts for this harsh environment and due to this, there will be slight blemishing in our final anodised colour. These blemishes are not easy to see and will not be visible once mounted to your bike. They are a by-product of applying the strongest anodised layer we can provide.

If you want the prettiest and the shiniest bolts you can get, buy from China. Our bolts are made custom, made strong and made precise.
